Well, the trip is set. This is hopefully the first blog entry of many. I will try to use the blog writing as both a means to let everyone know where I am and what is happening, and to give myself time to reflect on and appreciate the opportunities the God has presented to me. I will include as many photographs and stories as I can- hopefully without boringing anyone. Feel free to pass on the blog to anyone you wish. This trip is going to be something else!
For those of you following along at home, here's what I'm talking about-
Tomorrow, July 18, I will be heading out on my Summer vacation. At the invitation of Don Gordon, my very close friend whom I met in the Dominican Republic last November, I will be helping at a number of Baseball Clinic/Outreach Events across the United States. We will be presenting the gospel and testifying to young baseball players as well as teaching proper baseball fundamentals at various VBS settings.
These events, while hosted and organized by members of The Fellowship of Christian Athletes and SCORE International, the events themselves are being arranged and funded by local Churches and private citizens.
So what I've done is schedule 3 days of sightseeing and tourist-y stuff between the clinics in Kentucky and Pennsylvania.
